Ask me a question about one of my stories. It can be absolutely anything in any fic and I will tell you the honest-to-god answer. Don’t hold back. Do you think you'll ever write more of the mini!dresden verse in a different time frame? (From when their mom was alive or when they are teenagers or whatever)

I was contemplating this the other day, actually. I do have two fics that are half done where Mal and Fay are teenagers, and I have a few more done that happen pre-series (Fay's birth, Mira telling Harry's she pregnant, Harry breaking down after Mira's death). My only reservation in posting them is that I feel like if I make them older, I can't go back and write when they were younger anymore. Which is kind of silly, I guess. I have been waiting for my 10_prompts approval forever. If I ever get it, I'll probably post some of them to go with the prompts.

that actually makes a lot of sense. People tend to think sequentially, the occasional pre-series piece fits in easier than setting something out 10 years from now and giving people a snippet of the future only to drag them back to the past latter.

In my mind, the *runs off to check the names of the aliens*...Stafarians, are a extremely, extremely polite civilization, where pretty much anything could get you imprisoned - like sneezing, which I think I mentioned. So, technically Jack was just passing the salt, but he probably did it with enough charm that they were offended. :D

What are your plans for the mini!Dresden verse?
I can never really get over how utterly delightful those stories are... I'm crossing my fingers that you've got more planned. <3

My current plans for the mini!Dresdens 'verse is to keeping writing them until people don't want to hear about them anymore. I find that I get ideas from every which way about things to write, as a wizard with two young children is rife with possibilities for mayhem, even doing the most mundane things. As of right now, I have no general 'arc' for the stories, though I do know what the last one will be, if I ever need to write it.

Oh, I hope so. I am quite fond of him. I'd love him to be the one connection Harry has at the hospital that he exploits mercilessly. I also think it might be fun to write an encounter with Harry from Forrester's point of view. I did bring him in briefly for Life Support, and he will have a role in a future multi-chapter fic if I every get it together enough to write it.

So many questions so little time. Hmm, one that's been nagging me in the mini!Dresden verse. I know Murphy's still Harry's friend in that one, but will she ever be anything more?

Yes, she will. I have an unnecessarily complicated backstory for how it ended up being Harry/Mira and not Harry/Murphy, but the short version is that, in my mind, they totally get together in later years. I picture them living together, probably Murphy moving in with the Dresdens at some point. I don't see them getting married, since both of them have had bad experiences in that department, but being very much partners and happy together in in their odd little Harry/Murphy way. I also picture Fay and Mal being the catalyst to them getting together. 'For Heaven's sake, just go kiss her, Dad!'
