I've had to wear a Holter monitor again. Only two more hours left to go! The leads are itching like crazy, but this go round hasn't been too bad. Ama and Adam came over last night to make us dinner and Ama and I watched House and My Neighbour Totoro (SO CUTE! GAH!), so I was distracted. I even slept pretty well.

My last one was clean. I apparently have a more normal heart than most people. Which is great, of course, but it's not explaining why I'm still getting tachycardia. My heart rate did get up to 157 at one point, but I didn't report symptoms then and when I did report symptoms, there were no symptoms. Lately I've been having it at night, around 1:30-3:30 AM (it occurs between those times, not continuously during the time) and I haven't been able to sleep until it happens. I toss and turn until the tachycardia starts, it lasts for a few minutes and then I fall asleep. I think I've managed to catch it this time, but considering this is the fourth time I've had to wear a Holter monitor and the previously three times have been clean, who knows?

In other news, I've finally started my [livejournal.com profile] dresdenficathon fic. Adam, Mum and I were talking last night and we all write the same way. We think about it and think about it and think about it until, by the time we've sat down to write it, it's all there and it's just a matter of getting it down and tweaking it. I also signed up for NaNoMo, which I've never done before but want to give it a try. I'm not going to go at it hardcore, but I've been waiting so long to get down what's in my head and never getting it down, that I thought it would be good to say "you are going to start writing on this day and keep writing until this day".

And that's all that's fit to print!

Another NaNo person! :D NaNo is fun, even if you don't finish. (I'm one-and-one so far.)

I'm planning to finish my last year's NaNo novel this year. Although I "won" the first year, in that I passed 50K words, I was only like half way through the story. And I only hit about 35K words last year, so I've got these two part-done novels sitting there and I haven't touched either one since. I'm afraid if I start yet another one this year, the people who read as I go will hunt me down with rusty sporks, LOL! And besides, I really want to finish this one.

But anyway, we'll have to be NaNo buddies and cheer for one another. [leans on you]

Angie
