I just want to say: oh Scarlet Pimpernel CD, why have I not listened to you for so long? I ♥ you. You make me smiley.
Also: Canadians never get that excited over getting a new leader. Americans have so much more fun than we do. :p

Date: 2009-01-21 12:58 pm (UTC)I don't think is specifically an Obama thing, though. We get a new Prime Minister, he shows up at 24 Sussex Drive and goes to work. No public oath, no parade, no balls. As far as I know, anyway. It's been awhile since we had an election that was a regular election and not called because so and so was unhappy.
You guys are like 'hey, check us out, PARTY!' and we're like 'if you don't mind too much, I'm just gonna come in here and be your leader. No, I can come back later if it's not convenient, that's fine.'

Well, the polite attitude seems to work. You guys as a country have achieved equal opportunities for same-sex marriages and health care for one and all.
We've proven that as a group we can turn any situation into Beer Night.
Ah, I loves to make fun of my country.
