1. Do you like your handwriting?
Not especially. My writing still looks like a ten-year old's. I've always hoped it would start to look more grown-up in time, but it hasn't, really. The problem is, my brain moves faster than my hand, so it's very sloppy trying to keep up. That's why I type everything.
2. Do you prefer to print or write in cursive?
It's funny, in elementary school, you had to write in cursive. It was drilled into you. There was no other option. In cursive, with a pen. Then you get to high school and they're like 'oh, as long as I can read it, do whatever you want'. Anyways, I usually write in print. Cursive slows me down and I get over-loopy and end up with too many loops.
3. Do you think handwriting should be graded in school?
Maybe in the past, but not so much today. Most professional stuff you're going to do will be typed. When I was elementary school, we weren't allowed to type stuff because not everyone had a computer. That always seemed like bull to me. But nowadays, you're going to do most of your stuff in type. I think it should be taught and corrected, but not graded. In Grade Six, I had a particularly anal teacher who didn't like the way I wrote my e's an threatened to take off one mark for each time I wrote it 'wrong'. He was a little whacked.
4. Do you prefer writing in pencil or pen?
Pen, definitely. Pen has a smoother, flowing quality to it. Pencils are good for math, but pens are my choice for writing.
5. When you write in ink, do you prefer a neutral color such as black or blue, or a fun color like purple or green?
I'm not choosy about colour, though I did have a purple pen I loved. I'm more concerned with the type of pen. Bic-like pens don't cut it for me. I like the liquidy, flowing ones. I'm very choosy like that.

I've found that I tend to write more neatly in cursive, but I write much faster in print, and since nearly everything that needs to be read in my life ends up on the computer with the exception of job forms, I write in print ninety percent of the time.
Also, when I was in high school, I remember things had to be printed, and you had to type them up yourself. Getting your mom or dad to type them for you was, no joke, plagarisim. idk.
