If you were updating Poirot and Hastings to fit into the Sherlock 'verse (which I am attempting, somewhat unsuccessfully to do), would you expect them to call each other Poirot and Hastings or Hercule and Arthur?
Also, The Moustache: required or not? I mean, it's sort of essential to Poirot as a character, but it's also very, very not in fashion at the moment. I can have him sport it as a sort of eccentricity (which is a Poirot thing to do), but I don't know if it works.
Thoughts, questions, concerns?

I mean, I know Christie was going for a Watson for her hero, but it's a bit silly how similar this two guys are. Which is probably why they won't shut up.
