In no particular order:

-- Ascii got into a Mexican stand-off with the bunny who lives in the backyard tonight. He spotted her and she spotted him and neither of them moved for literally ten minutes. It was a bit epic. You can sort of see the bunny, it's a brown blob to the left of the bird bath. That is a still shot, but it could be live action, because Ascii was frozen. She didn't even turn her head when we called her name. The bunny made the first move and dashed into his home in the tall plants around the tree. Ascii has been trying to find him again all evening.

-- This gifset, which I feel accurately represents Sherlock and Abby's relationship.

-- Drunk History. I randomly stumbled upon this on youtube, I had previously only heard about it in passing, and I am utterly delighted by how brilliant it is. They get real life people drunk and have them tell a story from history, then get actors to perform and lip synch to the story being told. I don't think we get it in Canada, so I have to settle for bits and pieces on youtube, but it is still brilliant. My favourite so far is Claudette Colvin (warnings for beeped language). Mostly because this exactly how I explain history when I'm sober. It's how I explain anything when I'm sober.

May I ask: why Ascii?

I heard a bit of Drunk History on NPR the other day. I tend to get embarrassed for drunk people, so I'm not sure I could handle it!

May I ask: why Ascii?

It's the name she came with. Her 'full name' is Final Answer, so I think the thought process went something like 'answer a question, ask a question, ask-y, Ascii'. It's a computer term. I dunno. Each registered dog has to have a completely unique name, so I imagine the breeder is getting pretty creative by this point. :-D

I have awful second-hand embarrassment, and I don't have any issues with it. No one is making a fool of themselves for the most part, and they knew going in what would happen. The original web series does have several graphic throwing up shots in it, which I was unprepared for and no not recommend, but the TV series has thankfully kept it very tame. The most you get is people using the wrong words or randomly trying to talk to cats, and the occasional person who decides they'd rather tell the story from the floor.

Maybe I'll give the show a try at some point. I'm glad they don't include the vomiting on the tv show! In addition to my second-hand embarrassment, I get second-hand nausea. I'm a also a bit leery of the concept: even if people know and fully consent to get drunk, are the makers of the show prepared to stop someone giving himself or herself alcohol poisoning? People can die or do permanent harm.

There's a medic on stand-by, apparently, to prevent that sort of thing, and the creator of the show sits in the room with them and prompts them, and definitely coralls them around to make sure they're comfortable. There's one moment where a girl announced she wants to lie down and drink, and the next shot is her on the couch, with a pillow and blanket, and holding a glass of wine. The level of drunkeness seems to range from just tipsy enough to start rambling to 'having this conversation from the floor', so I assume the people who are drinking set their own parameters. I totally get if it's not your thing, I'm just a history nerd, so I enjoy the level of passion that comes out of these people on subjects they only read about shorty before getting drunk. Comedy Central has an app, apparently, where you can watch the first season for free without subscribing to the channel, so you can try if you have device for that. I can't do that from Canada, but you can probably do it from the States.

Or you could look at the 'drunk history' tag on tumblr, they have lots of gifs and you don't need to see the drunk people. :-)

I totally saw that gifset through daemon-verse eyes and thought their humans must be pretty close.

Ascii is adorable! The ears! So alert and ready to do a staring contest with a bunny.

Hee! That dog is so resigned. "Oh, yep, here we go again. Hey, Frank."

Dog/cheetah (http://www.pinterest.com/pin/321866704592308364/) friends!

At this rate, they'll need their own pinboard.
