Memeage! *jazz hands*

Seems like a while since I did an audience participation meme, so I'll revive one of my faves. I've done a lot of characters for this one in the past, but I think I've added newer characters to repertoire, so hopefully you can find one you'd like to hear about!
Give me the name of a character I write or have written and I'll tell you:
-What they smell like
-How they sleep (sleeping position, schedule, etc)
-What music they enjoy
-How much time they spend getting ready every morning
-Their favourite thing to collect
-Their family (siblings, parents, extended, etc.)
-A weird/obscure fear they have
-A secret skill
OCS and AUs welcome, as always. Feel free to ask for a couple of characters.
Putting this here to make it easier to respond from my iPad if necessary:
In the past I have done: Anderson, Mummy Holmes, Arthur Shappey, Kevin Ryan, Molly Hooper, Sarah Sawyer, Abby Watson, Mycroft Holmes, Q, Sherlock Holmes, Tony Stark (and Demira), John Watson (Abby verse), Alec Thornton, Siger Holmes, and Steve Rogers (and Issie).

Date: 2015-08-16 04:58 pm (UTC)What they smell like: JJ has a clean, outdoorsy scent about him, coming from his cologne, which has notes of cedar, sea salt, coriander and pink pepper in it. Both he and Betti have a tendency to smell faintly of the pool. Thankfully, Tess and Mati both like it.
How they sleep: Tucked into a foetal ball, with his knees up to his chest and his arms out to the side. He's always slept like that, since he was old enough to not have to sleep on his back any more. Betti used to curl around his butt, with her tail hanging off on the bed, and when he was younger, Victor sometimes popped in for a cuddle with them. Now JJ has Tess cuddling from behind, or butt-to-butt with him, and Betti cuddles with Mati at the end of the bed.
What music they enjoy: Electronic, Trance music. He and Betti like the feel of the bass beats, and JJ doesn't feel like he's missing much with his hearing issues. One of the only real conflicts stemming from having a dad who's nearly a hundred years older than him is that Steve just does not get how this is music, but patiently nods along to JJ's enthusiastic discussion of the layers of tracks and the remixing of the vocals. Issie has pointed out to Steve that it could be worse. At least it's not one of those half-naked popstars who dress like very young children and have worrying personal lives.
How much time they spend getting ready every morning: Fifteen minutes? JJ has a pretty basic routine. Shower, shave if needed, clothes on, hair vaguely tossed in a pleasing arrangement, and then off he pops. Betti's fur takes a bit of time to dry, so she tries not to get in the shower. But she does, because she can't help herself. She just really likes water.
Their favourite thing to collect: Animals. Not permanently. JJ collects them and takes them to someplace safe.
Their family:
Steve Rogers (dad, super soldier, rescuer of small animals)
--(Ishild ["Issie"], a Teddy Roosevelet Terrier)
Honor (Phelan) Rogers (mom, bookshop owner, grower of many plants)
--(Eventyr ["Tyr"], a northern bluebird)
Joseph 'Spike' Phelan (grandfather, architect, volunteer firefighter)
--(Reidara ["Reedy"], a red ovenbird)
Annette Phelan (grandmother, window dresser)
--(Coyer ["Coy"], an Eastern Grey Squirrel)
Joseph 'Fox' Phelan (uncle)
Jilly (Alstead) Smythe (adopted aunt)
Greyson Smythe (cousin)
Sean Phelan (cousin)
Some other cousins and significant others of uncle and aunt that I haven't named yet.
Teresa Iver (photographer, video game ass-kicker)
--(Mati, a golden marmot)
James Buchanan Barnes (godfather, super soldier, badass)
--(Shessida ["Shess"], a sunbear)
Amber Delarosa (godmother, personal shopper, also kind of a badass, but in more of a sartorial sense)
--(Vivax ("Vix"), a flamingo)
A shitload of superheros who all consider themselves to be family
A weird/obscure fear they have: Falling asleep for a really long time. Like, 70 years long time. Betti especially gets kind of freaked when that thing happens when you wake up and you can't tell what time it is or how long you've been asleep for or if it's day or night for a few seconds.
A secret skill: Winnie has often joked that JJ's hearing aid is tuned to 'animals in distress' because he can hear them when no one else can.

Date: 2015-08-18 06:07 pm (UTC)JJ's fear makes me 'aw' in a sad way. But it does make a lot of sense.
And Issie totally has a point. At least JJ isn't into music made by worrying 'artists.'

I have a headcanon that after Steve clarified for JJ that his sleeping for 70 years wasn't genetic or likely to happen to him, he also added that if he hadn't been frozen, he wouldn't have met Nora or had JJ, so sometimes very good things can happen from bad ones.
And Issie totally has a point. At least JJ isn't into music made by worrying 'artists.'
I'd like to think Steve is one of those people who's just really concerned about celebrities' welfare when they go off the rails.
Issie: I hope she gets help, she seems very talented.
Steve: Maybe she just needs someone to talk to.
Issie: Or a pet.
Steve: I don't know if a pet would help that sort of thing.
Issie: Pets help a lot of things, right Vic?
Victor: *happy panting on Steve's foot*

:D
Steve is totally the person who gives dogs and cats to people who look a little sad or depressed.

Date: 2015-08-18 07:16 pm (UTC)Again, you win all the awards for finding photos of the human and animal where they seem to have the same expression and attitude.
I actually had trouble with that one, due to the angle of the camera in Bond's photo. It was the only one I could find where you could see his fee. I tried a bunch that didn't work, and then I found an actual smirkng bobcat (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Lynx_rufus#/media/File:Bobcat_stare.jpg), and celebrated.

Aww, I bet he's part of some therapy dog programme, where he visits people in the hospital. Maybe with Victor. No sick kid could be sad when Captain America shows up with a dog for you to pet.

Date: 2015-08-18 07:26 pm (UTC)I have this cartoony image of JJ or Winnie looking a little sad and Steve bringing in a puppy and then another one and then another one in each frame until they're literally in a puppy pile and finally smiling.

Steve: What? The puppies need to be socialized.
Nora: *pointed look*
Steve: Chickenpox aren't contagious to dogs.
Nora: *pointed look*
Steve: I'm not spoiling them.
Nora: *pointed look*
Steve: Being sick in bed is awful, I'm just trying to cheer them up.
Nora: *softened look*
Steve: And don't worry we're not keeping any.
Nora: *skeptical look*

Hee!
I have cozy images of a sick JJ being asleep while surrounded by tiny puppies.

Date: 2015-08-19 12:31 am (UTC)Nora: He's got the flu, Steve. I've got the flu. Everyone has the flu except you and Bucky, because you can't have it. I don't think you can blame it on yourself.
Steve: I brought him some soup, and I put a fresh pillowcase on his pillow, and I got him a new book to read.
Nora: You're spoiling him.
Steve: I got you some flowers.
Nora: Oh. Well, that's all right then.

Date: 2015-08-19 12:40 am (UTC)Yup. That makes total sense.
I imagine Bucky, despite his overprotectiveness is pretty good when dealing with Winnie being sick or injured because he's gone through it a lot with Steve.

Date: 2015-08-19 12:56 am (UTC)Tony: It's okay. I'll just fix him with science. Look, I've already designed a baby hearing aid while you were talking about what a horrible person you are. It has stars on it. I'll put some stripes on, too. It's going to be epic.
Steve: He's only two weeks old.
Tony: Yes, and he's going to be a tiny little badass, don't even worry.
I imagine Bucky, despite his overprotectiveness is pretty good when dealing with Winnie being sick or injured because he's gone through it a lot with Steve.
That makes sense, too. There can't be anything Winnie gets that Steve didn't have. He'd have her diagnosed before they reached the doctor.
Winnie: But I don't feeeeeeeeel weeeeelll!
Bucky: You have strep throat. They can treat that with antibiotics now. Your Uncle Steve had Scarlet Fever because his strep turned into that. Be grateful. Also, here's a Popsicle.

Date: 2015-08-17 10:55 pm (UTC)How they sleep: In her nightie, after a wee dram of scotch (shhh!), and on two pillows for her head. Carwyn sleeps next to her, in the crook of her arm, with his head tucked under his wing. Mrs Hudson is generally to bed late and up early, especially if her tenants are active.
What music they enjoy: Most people are surprised by the eclectic taste Mrs Hudson has. She and Carwyn listen to very modern music on the BBC, and can list any number of singers or rappers on cue. She's even helped John and Sherlock out, more than once. Honestly, boys, who doesn't know who McBusted are? One of them was on Strictly, you know.
How much time they spend getting ready every morning: It depends on what she's up to that day. She might not bother to get dressed at all if she's just going to be wandering around the flat. If she's going out, she'll take about half an hour to shower and do her hair nicely. Carwyn preens his feathers while she's in the shower, and might take a little dunk in there to make sure he's looking fresh.
Their favourite thing to collect: Mrs Hudson has quite a collection of little china and porcelain figurines. She didn't mean to, really. It's just someone gave her one once, and then someone saw it and thought she must like them, and so then she had two, and more people saw those, and gave her more, and more people saw those, and now she has many. She sometimes thinks about downsizing, but Carwyn says that would be very rude.
Their family:
Mr Hudson (deceased, to very few people's sadness)
A sister, and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
A weird/obscure fear they have: Carwyn is quite sure that that skull Sherlock has will start talking one day. Mrs Hudson says he's read too many Gothic novels. She does, however, not really like to dust it very much.
A secret skill: She can cry on cue. Carwyn is also quite impressive at sneaking things out of people's possession, but he only ever uses it for good.
