Oh, this is me leaving a comment and preparing to yank this meme.

Because memes are the crack as well as the awesomes.

1. Hmmm, I can't remember if you friended me first or I friended you first, I think it was back in your lifeinsomniac days. Anyway, I friended you because you're an awesome writer and I wanted to keep up with what you were doing.
2. Dresden Files, obviously. But also the colour yellow. I don't know why.
3. I think you are an incredibly knowledgeable person - well-read, well-traveled and extremely talented. Also, I love how you always comment with something more than 'good fic'. I appreciate that.
4. A memory I have of you...I remember the comment you gave me for 'Simple Gifts' that was so nice and lyrical and just made me feel really good.
5. Do you have an official profession? Or are you a student? Or do you have plans for an official profession?
6. I like your 'books and lollies' one.

Aw! Thank you *so* much! *blushes*

#5: I work as a freelance production coordinator for still photography. In my spare time, I'm taking courses to prepare to apply for a Masters program in Psychology.

I thought it might be something photography-ish. My dad has a bachelor's in Psychology (from McGill, Wilson's alma mater, I believe ;-)) and he was, like, one course away from getting his Masters and was so sick of school and couldn't find a course he liked and said 'screw it'. He was a respiratory therapist before he semi-retired, so I suppose it all worked out alright in the end anyway.

1. I friended you after [livejournal.com profile] _medley_ posted a rec for the 'Pashahads' story and I decided it was made of win and that you needed to be on my f-list. :-)
2. I associate you with the colour blue. Dunno why. People always have colours for me. I also, of course, associate you with Jack and donuts. :-)
3. You are very enthusiastic about everything and always make feel enthusiastic about things in response. If that makes sense. I also think you're really great at leaving things up to the imagination. You don't need to do smut because you write just enough for the smut to write itself. If...that makes sense.
4. There was that wonderful poutine/crumpet/English muffin debate. That was fun. :-)
5. How did you get into the Due South fandom? Did someone introduce you to it or did you watch it while it was airing? It always pleases me when anyone outside of Canada 'gets' and enjoys the show. :-D
6. Your happy-bouncy-elephant of squee, of course.

(Using appropriate icon and responding backwards...)

I saw Due South when it aired here in the States- the first two seasons (RayV) aired on CBS I think. We loved it. It was great how it gently made fun of Americans and Canadians in such gentle ways. When the Rayk episodes aired here (on cable) I also enjoyed them, but then after they went off the air I didn't think of the show much more until discussions with [livejournal.com profile] travels_in_time and some others on my flist. I never really have immersed myself in the fandom of it though

the crumpet debate was fun!! And yes, they did make their way (tangentially) into my bigbang

and a big :) for the rest of your comments! (especially what you said about my writing smut, I always hoped it worked that way)

That's cool about due South. I never watched it when it was airing (mostly because I think I was a bit too young to fully 'get' it), but I started watching reruns, I guess about seven years ago since my brother's fiancee got me into it and they'll be seven years in April, I believe. Anyway, she was crazy about it and I fell in love with it too. It never fails to make me happy.
